Title: 215/75-15 on a rally 15x8 wheel?
Post by: antihero13 on March 10, 2011, 08:50:00 pm
I got some rally wheels on my truck right now with 235/75-15 tires with a lot of dry rot. I have a chance to pick up some real cheap 215/75-15 tires but I'm not sure if I have 15x7 or 15x8 wheels. Will the smaller tire if on a 15x8? I would hate to buy em of the won't fit on the wider rim.

Good deal! I check some tire sites but they all say that tire only fits up to a 7" rim. I thought that they would work but I wanted to get some input.

Are they 5 or 6 stud?? Mine are 6 stud and they're 15x8. My friend has an old GMC van, with 5 stud rally wheels, and they're 15 x 7.

GM had 3 widths that had the same look for the 5 lug 2 wheel drive version.  6.5" were standard on full sized vans.  There were 7" and 8" offered as well.
