Title: how do u guys mount your amps under the seat?

just curious if any of u gusy had a picture, sounds liek the way to go. did u have to take the seat out?

it looks like there is room under there, but drilling holes ands stuff looks like it will be tight.

The area is like a V and my amp is like 12in by 9in and it doesnt slide or anything so its like just there.

I have an 86' with bench seats.  I took the seat out and mounted each amp (2) underneath with metal screws.  I heard that it depends on the amp size for ease of fit.  I have two MTX's and my friend has two Fosgates.  It should be pretty safe under the seat unless you are pretty strong or you have to take the seat out to unscrew.

yea thats what i thought. i hope u didn't mount your amp to the bear metal? u should always mount it on a peice of wood then to the steal. thats the best way to go. otherwise flex and stuff may cause breakage.

I have a custom sub box for 2 tens with space to mount an amp in the middle(amp rack). mounting your amp on an amp rack is way easier than under the seat and looks way better.

My amp is like 12"X9", I just threw it under there and it hasnt moved.
