I didn't like the billet grille my 78 c10 came with originally so I've been watching ebay for a deal. Got a new one for about 40 bucks with shipping, replacing it as soon as it arrives. I think it should make the front end look better, 1st step in a long list of body repairs.

That is a 73-74 grille, we have an aftermarket replacement for those now and they are killer!

that isnt a billet grille. it is a chrome square tube grill.

Ah man, so that Grille won't be compatable with the '78? Darn, I was lied to haha. And thanks beastie, my ignorance in these subjects is sometimes overwhelming haha.

It will still work, just got to make a few changes ;)

Anything is possible, just depends on your skills and how much time and moola you want to invest. ;D

Its really that hard to swap grills from a later model to a 73-74 style. You just need to remove the center support from a 73, it all unbolts very easy, as long as the two side mounts behind the headlight covers, two bolts might have to remove. Remove the entire grill/bezel assembly off of your, minus the bottom and top peices. Swap center supports, remove the two supports on each side of the center support, there will be two indents near the headlight where you can match/drill for the side brackes. Install new brackts, install grill, bezels and then you have a 73-74 front end on a 75-79 truck.

i got mine really cheap on ebay… its pretty sturdy… about as sturdy as the plastic grill that was original. as in, if you hit a deer or something, it'll definitely cave in ;)
