Title: Subs under the seat?
Post by: zl6 on October 07, 2003, 11:47:00 am
Hey
i have a ten inch sub behind my seat, but that is not enough.  Has anyone made a custom box to go under the seat to fit like 2 10's or 12's?  I'm thinking of cutting out the floorboard and welding in a new lowered one to fit a bigger box?  i am wondering if it will get anoying rattling my butt, so i was wondering if anyone has done it yet.  i don't want it to be annoying, but my girlfriend might like it.  i appreciate your help

I was just thinkin the same thing last night! Right now I have a custom box behind the seat with 2 12's. I'll be upgrading the subs and amp soon, maybe a 2400W amp!

dont cut the floor it takes too much stengh out of the cab. try uisng fiberglass. laid down a few go laiders of masking tape on the dip in the floor under the seat. laid glass and mat intill u get about a 1/4 inch thick and then use 3/4 mdf as a the top to mount your subs
