Well I have decided to get myself a Holley Truck Avenger 670 cfm. Any thoughts on a good intake to match up to it? Shall I dare pair up an edelbrock intake with a holley carb? Haha

what cam, gear and converter are you running? headers or ignition upgrades?

Everything is stock as far as I know. My truck is a 76 3/4 ton 4x4 but my dad seems to think the engine is from the late 60s/ early 70s. Just going by sound of idle but it does sound like it has a bit more of a crunch to it than most stock 350s I have heard run. Could have a bigger cam but I really don't know. I tried quickly yesterday to get the serial number off the block but the tag was all coroded and hard to read. I will take the alternator off and try to clean it and get the number my next set of days off. The converter is whatever is in a stock th350 so around 1700 maybe? If you are referring to diff gear, they are 4.10s. No headers on the truck right now but I do have long tubes sitting in the garage for it. 3" collector I believe. No ignition upgrades. It has the GM HEI distributor. Not too sure if thats factory or an upgrade?

run a intake with a low power band on 4x4 truck. do u plan on lifting it and putting bigger tires. with the HEi i would buy MSD ignition kit 8501, and a adjustable vac advance kit and springs it will make your timing better i have one and my truck run great. are u going to change the cam to a better came for trucks.

Edelbrock 2701

I'm running a proffesional products Typhoon on my 350. it's a Performer RPM knockoff. Seems to work just fine so far. I put a 1" 4hole spacer under my carb (street avenger 670) too. Not sure of the difference w/o it. But this combo works good on my slightly modified 350, in a 9,000lb +/- burb.

Edelbrock 2701

I run a 670a with the vortech version of this 2701, dyno tuned and running a 1" phenolic open spacer evens out the a/f to both banks, I went with the phenolic to help insulate from heat.

I have the Professional Products Crosswind on a 350. Same as the RPM air gap. Either of those will work especially if you plan on the headers you got and future mods.

I just put the edelbroke 2701 on my truck. Its in the shop now with an electrical issue. But the intake sounded awesome with the holley 600 on it. Looks really nice also. Ive talked to a few guys with the same intake and they love it. I cant wait to really test mine out when I get it back this weekend.

I'm a pretty big fan of the weiand street warrior I just put on mine..cheaper than an edelbrock, doesn't carry the edelbrock name, cast in china/machined in the USA like an edelbrock, and replaced my factory aluminum intake without a problem. Performance is good too..all important factors in my book. :)
