Well so far this year has not been too kind to me well should i change that to the augusta county sheriffs dept has not been good to me lol. ive been driving for 7 years now and have gotten a few tickets over the years mostly stuff like no front plate or once loud music and one speeding ticket that was dropped in court like 4 years ago. Jan 5 i got a ticket for 55 in a 45 which i agree i was in my yukon first day i drove it in like 2 weeks where i had been driving the truck which rids alot rougher and in a nutshell you can tell at higher speeds. i more or less was not paying attention and it incresed speed coming down a hill and bam there he was. i went to court and it was droped to a $20 fine and was not sent to dmv. Two weeks ago i was in the wifes car an again kinda same scenario except i believe he clocked me when i was still in the 45 zone but whatever i got one for 48 in a 35. TODAY i had a county cop get me for window tint on my yukon! i thought only troopers could wright tickets for tint? limit is 50% mine came in at 17% whoops. i have an eye apointment in a couple of weeks and was going to talk to the doctor about the papers i can get to allow me to have the darker tint since ive notice over the past couple of years that sunlight bothers my eyes badly especily when wearing my contacts even with sunglasses. i do agree though with the safety issue for the officers of the window tint but i usualy have my window down by the time he is at the window. anyway end rant.

I know around here every cop can write inspection tickets. Most time younger guys get more tickets for the same thing older guys do. But hey its just money and if you switch to geico you can pay for your tickets. And I just came back from the doctors orthopaedic and found out I have arthritis in my knee I'm only 26 so my knee is now limited you don't know how bad I would just like to pay a ticket right now lol

I know what you mean I'm 23 and starting to have back problems and the docotor said I've got a disc in my lower back that's moved more to one side there for about 4 or5 days I couldn't even put my shoes on by myself. I've been meaning to go to the eye doc for awhile though for my eyes getting more light sensitive but working like I have been makes it rough lol. I realized when I got home that he gave me HIS copy of the ticket and mine but he also said all I have to do is bring in a picture of the yukon with no tint and it would be droped. I'd pay it regardless I don't have my tint for looks more for function. I don't do drugs or haver a firearm I've got nothing to hide.

At 14 I tore my ACL and was one of the first people in the US to have arthroscopic knee surgery....
At 21 I sprained my back to the point I was unable to work for 9 months. In the next 4 years, I sprained it 2 more times.
At 37 I was diagnosed with emphysema on my right lung after panting like a dog for 6 weeks before seeing the doctor. They also determined the rest of my right lung is blocked off from scar tissue and doesn't work at all.
At 38, I was told I have 3 bulging discs in my neck that are squeezing INTO my spinal column. That was why my hands and arms go numb at random times...
It gets better as you get older....LOL

What year did you have arthroscopic surgery ? I waited for 9 months to have it ( I refuse to let them cut my knee open ) and as far as I know I was the first one in California to have it. I was seen by the San Fransico 49'ers medical staff and set up with a specialist. ( paid for by my high school, football coach really wanted me back on the team).
I think I probably haven't had a blessed life. Other knee cut open with chain saw, broke both thumbs in football, right shoulder, both ankles, left arm, right hand all had surgery. Had a parasite that took radical treatment to kill, testicle surgery, cracked my head open flying off a cliff into a pine tree at about 40 feet up and then gravity took over. And got rearended on the freeway by an ambulance and blew a disk and vertibrea out of my back. Funny thing out of all this, I have been riding motorcycles for 40 years and never crashed on one, just everything else I don't respect I guess. ;D ( very wild childhood )
So long story short, bless every day you have and make the most of it, that's what I do.

Yeah the past year or so I've staerd having random diff medical thing start to pop up or back up I had to go for mirs and xrays when I was in hischool for my back they told me at 17 I had high blood pressuire and now with working 60+hrs a week and trying to do things around the house and spend tume with the wife and daughter I've let my own health go . I've been working on it cutting out diff foods and what not I'd rather be there for my girl when she is grown than not.

My ACL was in 1984.
My Knee Surgeon got a Ferrari with the $$ from my knee.
All I got was a limp all these years later.

Well now I know I ain't got nothing to cry about lol. Yeah before this nobody knew at work. Really didn't want inmates to know about a bad knee I was 17 high school Senor year field trip. My wife's Senor fiend trip was to bush gardens and I chaperone lol

I know! Lol I told my wife the other day that I've aleasy gotten pulled over when I'm minding my own buisness and just driving not screwing around lol. All of these tickets were gotten in a 3mile stretch of road too lol. I'm putting a *cat* on the car and an electric cutout and a single in single out magnaflow muffler should sound almost identicle to my yukon but with a cam and in a car. I used to drive my 82 ta with dumped single chambers and 3500 converter and I beat the crap outa it EVERYWHERE I went and I was pulled over twice once the cop wanted to ask me what it had in it then complemented it and the other time I had a valve cover spring a leak and the cop thought I was doing a burnout.

screaming, maybe you should start waving at all the law enforcement around you until you become friends, maybe they wont be harassing you then.

Yup lol I've gotten half of the tickets I've every gotten in just the past few months its crazy. Maybe if I start driving like an idiot and having obnoxious loud vehicles they will leave me alone!?

Well the two speeding tickets I will agree I was kinda zoning out but neither one was I in a hurry or speeding on purpose the first one I came down a hill and never thought to ease on the brakes like normal for some reason. Oh well was I see it things happen ill just be more aware next time.

Well, maybe i'm hallucinating, but i am pretty positive our friend screaming mentioned something about a starter bolt hole being not right and the entire drivetrain was going to removed because of it. The thread has "mysteriously" vanished. And, perhaps the decision to remove the entire drivetrain may be premature especially in light of all the other recent problems encountered--i.e., tickets etc.

I used to donate to local pd's and get supporter stickers, that got me left alone. ;)

i sorta had a year like that 2 diffrent times. back in 01, hit a black bear with a freightliner fld, a few months later the breaks gave out on that fld (got fired for that one), a few months later i was driving along around 50mph and some older guy pulled out in front of me, totaled my mothers car. now when i was 19 i had testicular cancer, had surgery to remove things, was home on leave from the Air Force healing up and going somewhere with my best friend and a drunk driver slamed the side of his lifted toyota and rolled us over. i broke my back in that one. called the VA hospital in Altoona, Pa. got checked by them called my the Sgt i reported to and he took it from there. a couple of days later i found out that once i was able to fly i was to report to base and sign the paper to be discharged. that was in 97.

The plan is to still pul just the motor here in the next few months but I'm holding off till I get my swap running in my other car. I pulled the truck in my back yard sunday to get it outa the way till I can work on it. Once my 5.3 is off the stand I can put the motor from the truck on it to fix the starter bolt hole.

1. this is whats wrong with the hole its not allowing the knurled part of the bolt to fight tight causing the starter to more around on me.

Ok, i get it----saw the other post/explanation.
So, back to the starter bolt. How the heck did this happen? Overtightening?
