Title: cd player

I want to put a cd player (kenwood kdc-222) in my 79 cheyenne.. will i HAVE to do any cutting or will it fit. does anybody have any good links

If you want the CD player where the stereo is now, you will have to cut. Its pretty easy, just take your time, and remember you can always make the hole bigger. I used a dremel tool to cut my dash. First I marked and cut the bezel(the black plastic), marked the metal dash, removed the bezel and cut out the metal. Then I reinstalled the bezel, wired and installed the stereo, no major problems. heres a pic of it......

do they make a wireing kit?

Yea, they have a kit that will plug into the stock hookups, I've seen them at Wal-Mart. Of course that was after I had already wired mine in.

the wire ing kit is out there but you still might have to find a constant power for the radio to keep time and presets
