Title: Can shock absorbers explode?

I'm looking at using some long stroke shock absorbers for something at work.  Chances are they will never get above room temperature.  There is a small chance of heat exposure if someone makes a mistake.  Will heat exposure make shocks just leak or can they explode?

Nevermind.  The answer is an obvious yes, they can.

     Depends on what shocks you are using.  If they are gas filled, then yes, some of the gas they use in shocks under the right pressures and excessive heat can, check with the manufacture of the shock for the msds sheet, it will tell you all the re-activities of the materials they are using in the shock.
