Title: replacement dash

I bought a urethane dash replacement and the first thing I noticed is how rigid the original was compared to the floppy new one.  I tried installing it last night and got more and more frustrated by the minute.  I hit on my speakers, I can't imagine ever being able to install the dash bezel, and it just looks sloppy.  My question is to anyone who bought a gm original, does it install as easy as the old one came out and how is the fit, does it look original.  I want to complete this project and I am very fussy about fit.  The urethane dash doesn't do it for me and if I'm going to spend the money on a gm original, I would like to know that it will fit perfectly.

Return it. You'll find quite a few threads on this if you search. The GM dash fits just like the GM dash.
