Well guys this problem is getting a little old so im out for a little help, truck details,1973 chevy 350 4x4,mild cam, edelbrock performer intake and holley 600cfm single inlet,38 total timing, well here my problem, when im out driving for a bit weather it would be for a long period of time or just having the truck run for 5 mins then down to grab some gas, after the truck sits and i jump back in to go it always seem to act like its flooded, not touching the gas peddle and cranking it over,it just cranks and cranks, does not start, now if i hold the peddle to the floor,,as if it was flooded,it starts,i do NOT have a regulator nor a vented cap on the single tank setup,i was curious where all that pressure buildup in the fuel system is released to or is it pushing the needle off the seat and dumping raw fuel in,,can not think of any other case,Would a vented gas cap fix this situation,,Thanks guys,

What happens if you take the gas cap off?
