I am puttin a cd player in my 86 silverado and was wondering where the 12 volt constant wire is supposed to run since these trucks do not have one from the factory?

Run it over to the fuse box and attach it with a spade terminal to a spot marked bat. Or if you don't use your cigarette lighter you can rob that wire, it's a constant 12v.
