My front brakes are staying engaged on my 80 K10. It seemed at first that it was just the caliper sticking so I replaced that with no changes. A friend told me that a long time ago he had the same problem, to try replacing the master cylinder, tat worked for him. I replaced it, rebled everything, and the same results. Both calipers still remain locked after everything is pumped up. I can move them with a prybar, and the driver side seems to move easier than the passenger side. The passenger side is difficult to move even with me standing on the prybar. As soon as I back off the bleeder screw, it moves freely. Any suggestions?

Try replacing the rubber hoses going to the calipers over time they deteriorate and work just like a check valve. This worked for me.

I just went out and cracked a few lines, first at the master, then at the balancing valve. Nothing changed, must be the collapsed hoses.....ordered a new set, will be in tomorrow.......thanks 82 for the info

Yup X2 on the hoses.
