  anyone know what would be a good cam to beef up my stock ls1?

The GM Hotcam with the matching springs is a mild cam if you're not looking for too much.  These were going for pretty low prices a while back and LS6 springs are pretty cheap too.  My first dealings with an LS motor was a 226 cammed 6.0L and it pushed my truck to a 12.8 in the 1/4mile(probably could have gone much faster with that setup, but I moved on).
