Title: Oh, what to do.....
Post by: Low87c10 on May 02, 2011, 03:25:33 pm
It's an 87 R10 short, 275/60/15s rear, 265/60/15s front. Going to drop it...not slam it. Anyone have any good ideas on how far to go and how to best go about it? The only thing that is out of the question is I will not cut the frame.

Are you looking to go as low as possible with the tire set up you have and without cutting the frame, or something like a 2" x 3" drop ?

lowering the red truck? it looks lowered already. either way, how much farther do you want to go? 2/3 to a 3/5 sounds good. I google for pics to see what YOU like

Will a 3/5 work without tire rub? Should I go spindles or springs? In the back...shackles? monoleaf? Looking to do it easy, but still keep a reasonably decent ride.

only you can tell if it will rub or not. its easy to see if the fenders will rub if its lowered 3 inches in the front. remember to check it with wheels straight and then again with wheels turned, taking into account suspension travel from bumps and such.
