Post by: Dapumpkin on May 04, 2011, 09:48:30 pm
I have a 350 882 heads Performer 2101 intake and not sure which carb to use.

And what is the difference between the cut out shapes in the intakes?

Thanks

what cam do you have? with those heads, you wont get much flow, so around 600 cfm carb.

If you are using the 2101 it's a spreadbore intake, which matches up with a quadrajet carb. If you use a squarebore Holley or Edelbrock carb you will need an adapter plate or you will have vacuum leaks. The cutout shape on that intake is like that because the quadrajet has large secondaries and the intake needs the clearance for them to open.

1406 edelbrock 600 or equvilant
