since the cold is going away here i've had to upgrade my radiator for my newer motor. my old motor ran fine in the summer with a 2 row but its been getting warm and now im getting a 4 row due to new motor is having the temps up at 210-240 going down the road which i believe isn't good for a motor to be at. yeah i know before anyone tells me i should have gotten a 4 row when i replaced the radiator when i got but its what autozone gave me so far the only mistake they have made.

Running a cooler range thermostat could help. Also make sure the shroud is fitted properly and the fan clutch works.

ummm my trucks motor doesnt have a shroud or a clutch fan it has electric cause it has a 366 out of a box truck aka the tall deck motor from buses and dumptrucks of past. where the clutch fan wouldnt fit under the hood as the pully that it bolts to is the water pump which is about at the top of the motor

running a cooler thermostat, would help, but eventually your coolant will still rise beyond what you want. I got a great deal on ebay for a aluminum 3 row radiator, about the same price as a plastic/copper radiator from the parts store. Champion radiator from http://shop.ebay.com/performance-cooling/m.html?_nkw=chevy+truck&_sacat=0&_odkw=&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3911.c0.m270.l1313
