Title: Any power to be had by smog pump delete?
Post by: Skunksmash on May 07, 2011, 11:57:59 pm
I was wondering if there is any power or fuel economy to be had by properly deleting the smog pump. I'm sure many of you have done it. And, I'm sure that if there is any gain, its pretty small. But I'm looking into low cost ways to add power. That won't kill gas mileage. You know, like stuff I can get off craigslist used for cheap. Like somebody's old long tube headers or H-pipe or something.

Anything the engine has to turn is going to cost power. Any thing that cost power will be made up for in mpg drop. How much idk but you will see an increase
