I cut this out of the newspaper back in 1996, and somehow managed to not lose it. I've halfheartedly searched the internet a few times, but never again found any mention of these specially built trucks. I was curious if any of you have ever seen or heard of them.

thats crazy

I remember seeing a chrome 73-87 Blazer somewhere a while back, I think it was eBay.

Every time I read your name, Vile, I read it as "VileZombie" for some reason. And the same ".....as if the walking dead isn't vile enough...." thought briefly scurries through my brain.
-
Nope - Think Zamboni

Nope - Think Zamboni
Do we dare ask the story behind that one?

I can't. I've tried. The very first time I read your name, I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't zombie. That one, brief fraction of a second, however, made a lasting impact. Now, even though I KNOW what your name is, I muse about the undead every time I read it.
I'm pretty sure my brain is a factory second.

Thats funny, I was just thinking about the meaning of his name too. But why the extra e at the end?

Nope - Think Zamboni

I see you're from Conneticut. Were you a Whalers fan back in the day?
-
Nope,
Bruins fan although I saw many Bruins/Whalers games. I even took a puck in the head when I was about 5 years old. Now you know what happened to me. The name.... Kind of a corny story. Years ago I was told I was Vile by a guy operating a Zamboni so I wrote a tune on my bass guitar and named it VileZambonie - I added the E so I wouldn't be stealing the name Zamboni - tada now you all know why I'm VileZambonie. I'm surprised this is the first time someone on here asked after all this time.
-
Always wondered about the name... Now I know, guess it is better than Puckhead... Still the most helpful guy on the forum. Thanks Vile for all the help you have given me over the years!!!

Cool story! I'm a Canucks fan, hopefully our teams meet up in the cup final, it would be a heck of a series!

Thanks,
I'm sure allot of us wonder how some members came up with their user names. I have to say yours was a tough one to figure out. I will sleep well tonight now that we solved that one. I stayed up a little too late raising my glass to Beastie and His fellow Marines.

Zeig,
I've been called similar names to Puckhead, do you find that hard to believe? :P lol and I'm happy to help where and when I can so thanks for the props.

Not sure if any of you know who Bobby Orr is but I got to meet and hang out with him when I was little and I've been a fan ever since.
Fitz - I'm glad it helped you sleep better lol or was it the raised glass? :D

The greatest defenseman to ever play! Did you meet him while he was still playing?
-
No he was retired.

I've seen Marines drink. They likely haven't been to bed YET!
By the way, to all of you who are in the military, and to all of you that have done your duty in the past, thank you for keeping us safe, and thank you for making me proud every time I see our flag. Every time someone calls you a hero, you say that you were just doing your job. I'd say any job where people are trying to harm you, and you would without hesitation give your life to save the soldier next to you, being a hero IS your job. Thank you, all of you, from the bottom of my heart, for what you're doing, or have done, for our great county.

"Vile", as in disgusting, grotesque, sickening? What were you doing?
