Wondering if the stock radios in the 1981-1987 C-10 Silverados had a pre-amp outlet. I would assume they didn't. I have a 1986 C-10 Silverado.
I'm thinkin about putting in a secret audio setup with new pioneer speakers in the dash and cab, and a 10" sub behind the seat.

No, but you can get some low output converters for pretty cheap.

Do you know of where I could get one? and, could you post a link of one. Thanks, I don't really feel like spending an extra $200+ dollars for a radio so that I can have a sub. You know what I mean.

Here ya go, check this stuff out. Any stereo shop should have these too.

Thanks for that link man, it helped out alot. Just one more question, do you think that the stock radio can handle new Pioneer dash/cab speakers? The speakers have an RMS of 15 watts for the dash and 35 watts the cab.
If the stock radio will push those alright, I'm just gonna get the converter.

I'd put em in and hear um out. You be the jury. Grab a converter and send it to the amp for the boom box and be done with it. Crank it up.

Finally got that thing wired, works great. Thanks
