I have an 82 c10 shortbox I wNt to lower a bit. The only problem is I don't know what ratio I should drop it by. I'd like to go down 2 or 3 inches on the front and am not sure how far to drop it in the rear to have the truck parallel to the ground. Do I need to drop the rear 2 or 3 inches too or does the back need to drop by one or two inches more than the front?

When you order a kit, what ever the drop size listed is, that is for the front. A good kit will come with what is needed to drop the rear to be even with the front. But if you want that raked look, then get the same amount of drop for the rear.

Heres a pic of my 85 with shackles and hangers and 2-1/2" spindles with 1 coil cut. It rides good and I tow a boat with it occasionally. It's all about what you want and what you do with your truck. Go for it.

I'm finding a lot of kits that are 3-4 drops and 3-5 and such. Which one would provide for a more level ride??

The 3-5 will level it out. Usually the rear of the truck is about 2" higher than the front.
