I have the bed off my pickup and I decided to replace the cracked line that foes to the filler neck. As soon as I got the 1/2" hose off the nipple fell into the tank. My question is has this happened to anyone else and what id the fix?? I've been trying to fish the tube out wth no luck. Once it comes out I have no idea how to repair it. Awesome stuff. Thanks for the help.

Try a pen magnet to get it out. After that, try epoxy to get it back into place. Or go to the yard and find a new filler tube.
-
The issue is that tube is long and bent and it is inserted from the inside of the tank. Does anyone know if I can use submersible fuel hose instead??

You need a new fuel tank.

Well that stinks. I have to drive to Alaska in two weeks. I guess I'll just plug the hole for now and take my chances at the pump.

Can you remove the sending unit, reach in the tank and get the tube, put it back in place from the inside, and JB weld it from the outside?
-
I don't think I will be able to pull that off. I'll give it a run today thought.
-
You will probably need some small arms.

jb weld will leak, just get a new tank or get a used one. If you were local I'd give you one I have kicking around that's brand new.
-
Would it be possible to braes it on? Maybe if you fill it with water, you wont have to worry about exploding.

The vent tube leaks on my rh tank, I've used JB weld, silver solder, etc, still leaks. Pick & pull is the way to fix it properly.
