Related to this, I removed all the emissions from my 85, including this canister.  Where does the line go that has the orange clamp on it in the picture above?  Mine seems to go down the frame back towards the gas tank.  Can I just plug this line and be done with it?  What is it's purpose in going into the canister?

bowdown916: Not sure, and I don't have any pics

kmcbride74: If that hose runs to the vent for the gas tank, and you have already removed the canister, you should put a vented cap on that line and zip tie it somewhere out of the way.
The purpose is to vent the gas fumes into the charcoal can for dissipation.
