Looking for a company that can custom build or modify wheels. Any recommendations?
-
When I got my wheels from raceline, I noticed they sell custom wheels, I think they (or at least some of them) were 2 piece though with the interchangable spoke-part. They were forged.
I can't speak for those wheels, but I'm extremely happy with the one piece rims I bought from them.

Check with Got2Haul. I think I remember that he had his rear rims widened on his 80 stepside.
http://www.weldcraftwheels.com/ is what he mentions getting his rear rims 16x10 done

www.stocktonwheel.com
I used them about 5 years ago to get some steelies widened, came out great.
-
Ditto on stockton wheel. ive used them myself. thats all the way on the other side of the country from ville though.
-
If the quality of the work is good I kinda doubt he'll mind shipping them
-
I've looked into them and they were not interested and weren't very helpful.
-
Stockton is temporarily closed, they make a 16x10 8 lug rally I'm jonesin for.
-
Changing ownership, prolly why.they weren't too interested

What are you trying to do (or is it a secret for now)? If you just want a custom look you could probably get wheel blanks and have it cnc machined on a regular 3 axis mill (local source) and polish it. Have you contacted Topy to see if they can get you what you need? There have been a lot of custom wheel manufacturers go out of business in the last couple of years. The auctions were flooded recently with cnc wheel machining centers from closed plants.

It's not really a secret, just want to build some custom wheels since no one really makes anything I'm in love with ya know?
-
Gotcha. How about www.trueforgedwheels.com?
-
steel or aluminum? Check some of the one offs.
Have you tried MHT? There was a company advertising they would make custom wheels, but don't remember who it was.
-
Tried em all.

Can I order a custom style wheel design for my car?
bonspeed does offer a special order program from our custom shop. There will be a programming fee and each wheel is priced according to the time and materials used. We may not be able to accomodate all requests and remember that the cost and production time increases greatly for custom shop orders.

Sweet! I contacted them. Thanks
