Title: Question on Valvetrain
Post by: Da67goatman on May 31, 2011, 07:04:47 pm
What is factory rocker ratio on smallblock 350?  What are stock valvesprings max lift?  Thanks to whoever can answer.

Stock rocker arm ratio would be 1.5:1... Not sure about the max lift of the springs, but I've seen people run .450" lift cams with stock valve springs before. Not sure if they were right in doing so, but no major failures occurred.

I have come across a cheap set of 1.7 rockers, can I run those with a stock cam for better performance without lose of mileage?  Would that be too much lift for stock springs?
