Title: Roller Rockers to use with Vortec heads???
Post by: GUITAR1989 on June 02, 2011, 03:03:50 am
Hey guys Ive been looking into what rocker arms to get for my heads..For non self aligned rockers you need to use hardened rods so the guide plates dont chew them up...if im using self aligned rockers can i still use hardened rods or will that cause the rods to chew up other things since the guide plates arent being used?
Also what are the pros and cons of non self aligned and self aligned rockers?
Does one actually perform better?

I got some from comp cams. The part is #1418-16. The ratio is 1.6 and there self alinging which I think they need to be for those heads. I havent put them on yet but I was told they really make a good differnce. Hope this helps you out.
