I'm putting 15x10 rims and a 4 inch lift on my 77 shortbox. Can I go with 35's? or will they rub. right now it has no lift and 33x12.50 on 8 inch ralleys with no rub whatsoever.... although I m mostly on road.

It depends a little on the backspace of the wheels, but if it flexes much at all, the 35's will rub with a 4" lift. The 33's will be good to go in all but the most extreme circumstances. You could do some fender trimming and run 35's without much chance of rubbing. but fender trimming is mostly for someone wanting to wheel more than they are onroad. Just depends on what ya want I suppose. I run 36's on 10" wheels, with about 5" of backspace, and a 4" lift. The fronts would rub just turning corners. I put cut-out fender flares on it, and they clear pretty good now. But will still rub if I flex it a bit. Switching to 35's soon myself. But the wheels I bought have 4" of backspace, so I'm not sure how much the slightly smaller tire will help.
