On my way home a rogue black lab was running around the corner of a windy back road in the middle of what is now a thunderous lightning storm with rain. No collar scared to death. I go to all of the nieighboring houses nobody wants to know nothing so I finally put him in my jeep and drove home. He's chillin with me right now but I called the police and no one reported him missing. He's obviously neglected and not cared for. I just named him Jackson. Some people make me sick! I would be freaking the F out

He'd be dead if I didn't take him. He's sitting by my feet as I type.

Its been two years, and a few months since I lost my best buddy. I wish I could but my life at this time doesn't allow it.

My mom found a english setter and did the right thing and called the s.p.c.a. they came the next day and picked him up. Well she told them she wanted the dog if no one claimed him; they said that she would be first on the list. 5 days went by she contacted them again they then said “they have no record of her request to adopt this dog” so she informed them again of her request. so the next day she went in person to the s.p.c.a. and asked to see him they denied her this. There reason was he wasn’t evaluated yet(this being the 6th day)she asked if they had a record of her requesting him they again told her no but they will make a note of it, she then asked if she need to do any paper work they said no. well a week went by she still hasn’t heard anything so she called them again this being the 13th day they said he was adopted all ready. She thought maybe they didn’t know what dog she wanted so she went in person sure enough the dog was gone. She never once got a phone call or anything. So I called them and talked to the director told him the story. He did apologies but it was almost like he didn’t care he couldn’t do anything because it’s been 4 days since the dog was adopted out. There was not one record of the 5 or so times my mom called or showed up requesting the dog. so dont let the spca know about him. might break your heart even more "a holes". this dog just in the few days mom had him we all fell inlove my brother brought over his kids and this puppy thats only 4 months old ran around the house with them played and not once snapped or jumped up on them. he was perfect i wanted him for my boy wyatt. then the evil came out in spca

That's great you helped him out man! I never come across a good dog like that, we always get cats... :)
Funny this thread came up today, I found a pair of puppies at the local shelter that just came in that I'm hoping to adopt on sunday and hopefully have them by monday or tuesday. Went to go see them and meet them today, and They're great! I want em and I'm gonna go see them again tomorrow and saturday if they're open. ;D I already bought all the stuff they need. ;D
They're supposed to be about 4 months old, both males, shepard mix (best they can come up with.) They are also brothers from the same litter.
These are the pics from the shelter

No one came forward for him yet so he might end up being a permanent resident. My dog seems to like having a buddy around but they get jealous of each other! Attention seekers! lol

Brothers form a different father maybe! One looks like a Beagle, the other like a Rot! lol

haha always good to hear some dogs getting a new home . vile, again awesome to hear you proably keeping him. and chevyrado, awesome dogs as well. i mentioned this topic to my woman, and she read this thread, and she smiled and laughed. she said, mmmhmm, you guys and your trucks, all macho and being guys, until you throw a puppy in the mix . lol i was laughing. hey, i wont deny it, i have a soft spot and weakness for dogs.

dogs are part of the family. There's a reason they are called man's best friend...our golden retriever...

Good job Vile. Labs and retrievers make terrific family and watch dogs and very obedient.

I applaud you man. I got lil female black lab about a year ago from a young couple that were friends of a friend. They were broke and couldn't keep her. I was pretty mad after I got there and heard the story... She was bone thin and sick as can be. Worms, mal-nurished etc. etc. Then they said they rescued her from the puppies mothers owner..... The jerk let the mom get pregnant and never wanted puppys so he closed the litter of pups up in a box and dumped them behind a vacant store!!!!! They were like a week old!!!!!!!!!! The young couple saw him do this and heard them crying so they took them home and took care of them the best they could until they found homes for them. I got the last one and after about $1200 in vet bills(spayed, shots, worms etc.)She became a great dog! With my schedule tho I ended up not being home enough and she was terrified of the noise at the race track so I gave her to a family with a house full of kids. They absolutely LOVE her and she LOVES them.
I agree some people need SHOT!

Good for you Ville, I was wondering how your other dog would accept a new pal. So the new one is laying by your feet already, looks like he's found himself a new "dad". Have fun!
