Where can I find the weatherstrip/seal that goes on the side of the front cab/firewall that seals the fender to the cab? I know I've seen them but I can't find them now and it's about the only thing keeping me from putting the front end back together. Its the seal that goes vertically under the windshield post.
Thanks,
Jake

They are only original on diesel trucks. They are just to help keep the noise under the nose.

I think we're talking about different seals.. these are definitely factory and I know I've seen them on other trucks.. Here is a picture from the interwebs of a cab with the seal on it. Look about 2" in front of the hinge..

There was a post about these some time back, and I believe the verdict was that they were not reproduced. Not sure about that though. May have to hit the junkyards or just leave them off. They seem to trap moisture and rust out the cowl anyway.

You know, I wondered if they were doing more harm than good. I did have to repair a hole at the top where it rusted out where it looked like water was sitting. Is there a consensus that we're better off without them? I'm just not sure if leaving them off is going to allow more water to get somewhere else and cause a new issue.

I never replace them. They trap dirt and crud. Rust the cowl out as mentioned. I have never seen them on anything except the diesels. Not to say that they were not put on some gas trucks.

My truck has them, not a diesel...
