Title: 38 inch swampers, how??

i have an 86 K-10 4x4, and it already has a 2" lift with 33" bf goodrich mud terrain t/a's, but I found a set of 38" super swampers for a really good price, but I know for sure they wont go on without another lift.
What and how is the best way to go to pick my truck up some more to make these 38's fit???
best way as in less expensive way....
if not i might just go with some 35's so I wont need to re-lift. thanks for any help

you got a body lift or suspense lift if not a body lift go with a 3inch body then they might fit its the cheapest way but not the best way

I have 2" blocks under springs, will putting a body lift affect my steering?

I certainly hope that you do not have block under your FRONT springs.  Besides be illegal it is VERY unsafe.  A body lift will only effect your steering in the sense that you will have to extend your steering shaft.  I would not recommend a body lift, i would go with a 6" suspension lift.  As a note, your 10 bolt axles will not like 38" tires much and will probably tell you so shortly after putting them on.

I agree with 73K20.  Also, with the body lift, you can expect to have to extend the shift rod for an automatic transmission, and cut the bottom of the fan shroud.

38's WILL be hard on your current running gear, if stock.  At least plan to put 4.11:1 gears in the differentials.  Then again, that is upward to $1,000, if you have a shop do it.

Yeah, well it turned out i went to see the so called 38" super swampers and they were just 36" and pretty much bald. If I would have to have an auto tranny to have 38" tires I dont know how much I would like that, probably not very. Plus Yeah i figured my 10 bolt rear end wouldnt like the 38s, I already snapped my rear differential with the 33" tires on it. So I think I might either just go with the 35" tires I found, or stick with 33" tires.
