Title: Nice "shop truck"
Post by: SUX2BU99 on June 27, 2011, 03:22:36 pm
This was built by a local stereo shop which turned into a hot rod/custom shop. They did some pretty nice stuff with it including a LQ9 6.0L engine, dash from a 67-72 truck, air ride and custom seating. I chuckled when I saw the "on a budget" description in the project description as this is no cheap build but it came out pretty nice:

Nice!  Are those show pictures at the end of the page from Tradex?  It looks as though they are.

^ No kidding.

Yep, I believe that was at Tradex. Probably at the big April car show but I didn't go so I don't know. I've seen your truck around here and there in Abby. How is that 5.3 working for you?

It's fantastic!  If you have the time and money it's an awesome swap.  Getting the parts and everything figured out was a bit of a task but now that I know the process I could do it in a fraction of the time it originally took me.
