Title: street tires?

I just bought an 87 R10 2wd LB. It needs tires and i was wondering what would be the widest tire I could fit under it with the stock 15" rims?

Depends on the width of your rim.  If you've got a 15x6 you wanna stay in the 235-245/9.5" range and even then I like to run those w/ 7" rims.
