I am working on a 1983 k20 with a sm465 and goodwrench crate engine.
Where doing a head and cam swap lets see what you all think about the combo .
GM goodwrench 350 a set of ZZ4 heads .028 head gasket for a 9.8ish to 1 CR Holley 770 the ZZ4 intake with some 1 5/8 D port headers and this cam voodoo 60101

Sounds like a great combo. Maybe consider a 670 with bigger jets as it will help keep your vacuum up a little and should be able to keep up just fine.

What number rear gear, sound's like a good combo. I would use a smaller carb if mainly street driven, like an 600 or 650 cfm max.

This is kind of a whats laying around build I have the 770 setting on a shelf it ran really strong on the zz4 .
The rear axil has 308 on it I am not really sure whats realy in there.

The 770 will work and being that you already have it I would use it. It's just a little bigger than it has to be. I had run a 770 on my similar engine and it ran great but went with the 670 as it was able to run just as well with bigger jets installed. IMO I don't see running a smaller cfm(600cfm) carb on a 350+hp engine and keeping up with the rest of the engines capabilities.
