For whatever reason, the horn button was taken out of my steering column on my truck. Oddly enough when I bought a tilt column to put in, it didn't have one either. Rather than looking for the button and wires I was thinking of installing an air horn or train horn. Anyone have either an air or train horn? If so, where did you get it, and how do you like it?

theres been topics like this on here recently. theres several suppliers that carry them. im not sure if im allowed to list them though. you can buy new, or get some off an old dump truck or ect or if you want to be top dog, you can run a true train horn. i looked them up awhile back. a nathan train horn was running around 1000 bucks used for a nice one.

I don't see how changing the horn helps you with the button???

I have the dual horn setup on my truck and it is plenty loud. That being said I have train horns (hornblasters 240 Shocker kit) on my Jeep and it's very loud, like get you in trouble with the police loud! I think the Wolo air horns sound anemic. I would try to source a truck horn or something, that would be about right and have a good tone to boot!

It doesn't. But the truck needs a horn so I wanna put a train or air horn on it anyway. Run it to a button on the dash.

my dad put a train horn in his truck and we both love it. It is louder than all heck and definitely helps when people try to cut you off. I highly suggest getting one.
