I know this is a silly question but whatever. I have an 85 chevy and I noticed that the Rubber hood gromets that sit on the inside of the fenders where missing. So I was in junk yard and found a the same truck as mine and took the rubber gromets from it. When I put them on mine and close the hood, the hood pops up above the fender line. So how do you adjust that they are the stock groments?
-
should just be able to twist them and they will screw down to level out the hood. or maybe something is screwed up thats why the p.o. took them out.
-
yup just like irish said, most of them screw down to adjust, but may be out for a reason. on my sonoma, i dont run any at all , it all varies.
-
yeah, maybe your right, the screw posts in the front are good. i just took the gromets out, maybe because i have an cowl hood or something.

yea, i have a fiberglass cowl on my sonoma, it fits nice without the grommet
