Just a random thought from yesterday:
i think if you could graft the front end---just the grill/headlight area of a 2011 silverado onto an older 73-91, but probably best if 81-91, it would look good.

It would definetly be different, but I'd rather do a GMC, I like the look better than the Silverado.
-
I agree, if I end up buying a new chevy, im adding the GMC grill.
-
Rather have the entire new truck.

When I had my '74, I found a GMC grille at the salvage yard and had to have it. Looked a whole lot better
than the original Chevy one, I thought.
The Chevy grille on my '86 looks fine, though.

I've thought about it too, but it would be harder than you think, and even harder to make it look decent.

The one thing I have seen that looks pretty darned good between generations: Some fellow I've seen at a local restaurant mounted a later model stepside bed on a '69 (IIRC) C10. The lines work really well, but unfortunately I never did get a photo of his truck.

Nice thought.. it would be intresting. Lol I myself, would like to see what a new chevy would look like with say... an 86'-ish like grill and HL's haha that would be cool.
