Title: Grady - My 1986 GMC
Post by: TheLyon32 on July 23, 2011, 07:29:32 pm
Its fun, but too expensive. Other than maintenance, I'm done spending money on this truck...

...in 2011. Come next year - back to spending money

Wheels are Boss 338's 18x8 up front 18x9.5 in the rear.

Want to replace front bumper with a black one.
Get some custom bucket seats
Under Drive Pulleys
HID Lights
Dakota Digital Dash
Had my heart set on a bedrug but their impossible to find for our trucks. So I will do a herculiner type bedliner
and probably drop it a couple more inches. I really liked the height before I put the wheels on it

Got this toolbox of Craigslist for $150

All my other pics include the marauder. This is where the money is going for the rest of 2011. A tune and 4:10 gears

I love the truck, the phantom grille with the GMC in the middle, and the 2 tone. I have HIDs on my truck and I couldnt be happier. I love them and the light output is amazing.

I would find a 88-98 bed and measure it to see how far off it is. If it isn't too far off, could always get a bedrug for that. I was going to do the same thing because the stepside dimensions are not far off.

I did that. The wheel wells on our trucks are significantly wider, but could probably work better for a stepside. Looked at some company in cali that made custom bedliners out of marine carpet but when I told the dude I live in Texas and that the truck would constantly be in the elements, he advised against it. So I gave up on the Bedrug. Still hoping that maybe I will find some website with old stock that was mislabeled or something.

Bedrug would make a lot more money if they sold them for our trucks.
