My name is Kevin. I am 35 years old. I am the pround owner of a '76 GMC Sierra Grande. It is a 3/4 ton, 454 V8, 400 TH automatic. This truck was willed to me by my old man, that just passed away in 2006. He not only was the original owner, but he also built the truck at the Janesville, WI plant. I was a third generation GM worker until the plant closed on December 23, 2008. I have all documents, including window sticker, warranty papers, assembly build sheet, and even the loan papers, all in mint condition. The truck has no rust, with 97,000 miles on it. It has never seen snow in its 35 years of life! I have started the restoration process, which is not much. Repainting of wheels and engine, and a few other things. I'll be posting pics later. Thanks to all on here for your expertise and help.

Awesome, very similar to my story with my uncle building my C20 going down the assembly line the last week before he retired from the St. Louis truck plant.
Welcome from NW Indiana, sounds like a very nice truck

Welcome, Kevin, from Alaska. Lots of friendly and helpful people here. Will be looking forward to your pics.
Don't know where my truck was built but perhaps your dad helped build it. Now that would be something.
