I am looking for an original schematic of an 83 1/2 ton 2wd of the 700r4 wiring. PO cut wiring at firewall and it looks as if everything under dash is in tact but not for sure. Have a blue and light green wire coming out of firewall and it looks as if they were the only ones that cam out of there originally. have vacuum switch off of an 83 van and was thinking about pulling the cruise control off of it also and wondering if all of it would swap? Any input would be great. Thanks.

Capt has them all here.

Can't find where these all originate from on these schematics. Not very good with them anyway, but I sure can't find it.

A picture of the wires would help a lot. Is it the 3 wires that come out of the firewall just to the right of where the throttle cable comes out? If so, I believe those are the wires for the revere lights.

My reverse lights on my SM465 are blue and green.

Dual tank switch for me...

So how the heck do I wire this thing to work like the factory wanted it to? Have pulled vacuum switch from firewall of donor van, and pulled brake light switch(mine still intact under dash), and plug for tranny. Tried to follow wiring and get entire thing , but van had been hit in front and totaled so not much room. Now thinking about taking the cruise off and seeing if I can get it to work also. At a loss as to where to go from here with the tranny wiring. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

After looking at these I can tell that you guys with the 4 speeds are correct. As the schematic says that lt green and dk blue are for the back-up light switches. But, I still cannot figure out for an auto tranny. Still stumped.

Capt can you see if you can locate sheet 14? As this is where the computer control wiring system schematic says that the TCC wiring is located. Thanks if you can.

700R4's aren't computer controlled, there will be a connector going to the trans to lock up the converter and that is it.
-
The previous owner had cut the wiring in the endine compartment. Looks like he left the stuff under the dash intact, but not 100 percent sure. That is why I was needed a diagram for this wiring.
-
Once again, a picture of the wiring will be very helpful.
-
I will try to get pics tonight and try to post them.
-
can you tell me where you are referencing the sheet 14 from. The wiring diagrams will be in the link provided.

Hello
The easiest way to hook up the lock up converter.
Run a fused hot wire to break pedal switch, it's a two way one contacts for the brake pedal are N.O.
The contacts for torque converter are N.C.
From the switch go to vacuum switch then to trans. Use a turbo 400 case connector it's a single wire.
In trans throw away all the pressure switchs, Get a N.O. pressure switch.
When trans shifts into 4th the pressure circuit will close switch that will send voltage to T.C. solenoid to dump
trans fluid to apply lock up .
The end of the input shaft feeds trans fluid to torque converter to pull off lock up clutch.
go to wrecking yard and look for wiring and brake switch .
Have fun. I've done about 50 trans this way.

Trying to post pics and it will not allow me to. Can I email them to someone and have them try to post them for me?
-
sure, let me know when you send them so I can remove my email from this post.

Just sent them to you. Thanks.

The first picture is of the wires that were cut by PO. These are the 2 that I have been told that I need. But, I do not know where to go with them and if they are the right ones. Have the plug in for the tranny and an extra vacuum switch if need. Now just need to know how to hook it up. Thanks in advance for any help.

OK. Went to junk yard and pulled entire harness from wrecked truck. Where does the light green wire plug in under the dash or does it. I could see that the light blue went to a wire(can't remember color) up under dash and PO had not disrupted this either. Lt green was not plugged in on wrecked truck either, but also was not plugged into tranny.
Also, where does the red 2 wire plug go down around tranny?
