I just put in a cs 144 alternator in my pickup with minimal modifications. Just a 3/8Th's bolt for the adjusting bolt on top of alternator and grind down the adjusting slot on the upper bracket just alittle for the 3/8Th's bolt to fit through. Everything else bolted right up just fine. The bigger alternator came out of a 1995 lumina van with a 3.8 fwd 140amp. I only had to order a EC-82 adapter plug to connect the old 10Si plug to connect to the new cs144 plug on the alternator. I already notice a big difference during idling with everything on(headlights on high beam,fan on high and it starting alot faster).
