So has anyone ordered or put installed a painless wiring harness? what did you think about it? Do they make the harness with the same connectors as the stock harness? I am thinking about getting one sooner or later. Dont really need it right now.

well worth the investment man. it was soooooo easy to do. i have nothing negative to say on them.
-
So it came with everything needed?
-
yes...it came with fuse block already setup. every single wire you could think of. labeled every few inches. a very detailed manual, butt connectors, zip ties, tape, extra fuses, plugs ect. its the real deal. theres many kits available. so you must pick whats best for you. i got my 18 circuit painless harness with gm colum setup for just under 400 bucks.

yeah, thats sounds great.

the painless is probably more plug and play, but i have a hard time swallowing the $400 or so. i bought a universal 18 circuit for $140 or so and ran it in my old el camino. it was GM column set also. www.itsasnapwireandcable.com if i remember correctly. worked good enough for me! even came with 8ga for the alternator cable. the ONLY negative thing i can say was it used the mini blade fuses instead of the big ones, and the schematic they gave was ho-hum....but our stuff is pretty generic so it wasnt too bad.

my painless box just came. Laid it out in the garage, looks pretty straight forward? like they said, its all labeled. I want to give myself a couple of days, so I will have to put in for a little time off and get it installed!
-
Thats cool, think we could get some pictures as you go along?

I love painless. I got one of their universal mopar kits a few years back, easy to install once I was able to find the diagrams for my car. I've since used the GM keyed and un-keyed column kits, and they are great.
