Do these trucks have a cowl tag mine is a 80 chevy and like to know where it was built and if this is the paint that came on it?

Where it was made you can tell theat by the vin all other info should be in the rpo code in the glove box

if the vin tag isnt on the drivers side dash it might be in the door jam? in like 79 and 80 i think they moved it.

79 or earlier it was moved. But the RPO will tell more than the vin unless you use the vin to order a new RPO sticker.
