ok the vent window on my driver side is not held in by the frame when i open it how would i fix this as it helps with flow of air since my truck has no ac. i need it fixed cause if i dont i think the whole piece of glass will fall out when going down the road. thanks for the help in advance if you can help me

I usually go to the local pick and pull and get one out of a door. Non-AC trucks have the best ventilation IMO because of the vents down low.

well this trck came with ac but the p.o. removed everything in it so it has no more ac

I have had luck with clear silicone to put them back in, I thought you were referring to the rivets being bad or rusted out at the pivot point.

so i can just get silicone or some sort of adhesive to put my window back in if it come out completely

If that is the case I bet it wouldn't cost you much if you swung by a glass shop and asked them for a bead of adhesive. I know it is a moisture cure type and it may not be available in small quantities, but I haven't checked... A normal size tube would go bad within a month if you just needed a little. My $.02

I had the same problem. The channel that the glass goes in is wide enough that just putting a sealant in it will not allow you to align the glass easily (This is assuming you have cleaned out the old gasket out of the channel, which is probably what caused the problem). There is a gasket like material that goes in that channel. Most likely yours has dried up, cracked, and maybe even partially fallen out. Stop by a glass shop and ask them if you can buy enough to reset it. It comes on a roll and in different thicknesses so take the truck along to get the right one. You can reset it from there and trim it with a razor when you're done. You'll have to notch the corner to make it fit right. It's not a hard job. I used urethane on mine as well to get it to seal. My local shop didn't really want the job because so many trucks from Ohio have rusted vent frames so they were glad to just give me the materials. ;D
