i am pretty sure i am selling my 8" rallys. i am going to cut a full coil off my springs, and if it isnt low enough i will buy spindles. here is where my question is...i want at least an 8" wheel. i have read that there are LCA to wheel clearance issues with lowering spindles. can i correct that with a 15" wheel with less backspacing, or what about a 17" wheel with similar to stock backspacing? just trying to think this thing through and not but parts twice.
any input is greatly appreciated.

I don't think you will have clearance issues with the larger wheels.

Basically, when you install drop spindles, the shaft your bearings ride on is located 2" higher than stock. When doing this, the center of your wheel is 2" closer to your upper control arm, and 2" further away from your lower. Nothing else changes. Your best bet is to get under your truck and measure your clearance between your wheel and your lower control arm. Keep in mind, you may have turning issues with a 15" wheel. A buddy of mine has 15s on a s10 that is bagged with drop spindles, and his wheel rubs his lower control arm at full turn. Granted, you don't have an s10, I was just using that as an example.
