would it look awful? did they ever make them? could I make them?
if anyone has some pics let me see 'em!
-
Seen em, yuk, just my opinion
-
Yeah they look like butcrack!
-
I can't seem to actually find picture of any 73-87 truck with them on. I see a few newer ones and of course some PRE 73... lame.
-
would it look awful?
That's an understatement
-
Every once in a while I will see one in Chicago cruising around all decked out with some of Vile's favorite items, I will try to snap a picture of it and maybe start a thread on what not to put on your 73-87 truck. There was an extended cab for sale in Michigan last year that had one on one side and I nearly hurled....

78 Chevyrado posted this in another thread.
It's just different tastes. I don't hate visors, but don't really like them either. now what I can't stand on a truck newer than say 1959 is a white wall tire or fender skirts. ick. though some love em and some hate white lettered tires, which i must have on a truck.
like this. all this one needs is a visor... :D

Vile-Sorry if I made you vomit by bringing these pictures back up. Hope you feel better soon! lol

urp

Its still really hard to imagine them on a normal looking truck haha. I have pretty small rims/ tires so there's a lot of empty space in my rear wheel well that I hate looking at. Since my truck is flat black and not flashy at all I thought flat black skirts might look ok, and cover up all the roominess in there.

2 each is own however if the above is your only concern get some new tires/rims. Your truck will thank you for them...

i like the lower ride height, and im never off road or pulling anything. if anything im gonna want this truck a little lower in the future.
-
2" spacers in the rear will take care of that if you like your existing wheels

i dont think he knows why you suggested spacers vile. if im not mistaken. if so, my apologies.
-
So the wheels aren't tucked into a cave and have a normal rear track.
-
exactly

Do they sell those that would convert a 5 lug to an 8 lug?

Do they sell those that would convert a 5 lug to an 8 lug?
im pretty sure they do...
-
They generally don't convert to a stronger bolt pattern because some idiot would over load then wreck and sue them. I was trying to find some to convert jeep 5 on 4.5" to standard 6 on 5.5" but no one makes them.

I've noticed this and had this same thought too.

With the same number of lugs there's room in between for the adapted pattern. I don't know how you'd get eight of them in there.
-
I just wanted to be able to run a set of wheels I like off a newer truck. I think its the factory ones from the 3/4 ton trucks, 2000 model. Guess I have to convert.
-
www.airbagit.com custom makes their wheel adaptors, and of course, lets not forget the 8lug to semi 10 lug adaptors for dually's.
They do weird patterns and stuff, its prolly easier to call them to get the quote. And I beleive they're 100 a piece.
-
I just looked for myself. They did fit the eight lugs in there!
