Title: Detonation worries

Where doing a head and cam swap on a 350 for the 83 K20.
Where going to use some ZZ4 heads with 58 cc chambers the piston to deck clearance is .024 the pistons have a 12 cc dish and where esing a .028 head gasket and the Voodoo 60101 cam

You'll have to run the highest octane rating for your fuel... Run a cooler t-stat and play with the timing.

Also run a colder spark plug.

go to compcams.com and they have a sheet you to fill out, give the most info you have on the truck, weight, engine, RPM's (your goal) gear ratio, cc, your tire size, use of the vehicle, compresion, etc.. and they will get back to you with a part #

that would be nice while you all are dropping in the engine and breaking it in the truck needs wheel bearings and the transfer case is leaking

the leak aint nothing mud has a had time sticking to oil. run her till the wheels fall off  ;D
