Oh so am bk again... so I adjust my valves the right way change spark plugs and finally got my truck to crank after I notice fuel pump wire was loose... fix that finally cranked and now am getting a loud rattling noise like theres something in carb.... I don't hear any other weird noise coming from engine just that one noise from top that sounds like its from carb engine will run for a MIN or so than shut off... am running 350 .60 over wit a 750 edelbrock carb fuel pump is unknown.... but fuel pump is working now just the loud noise and not running 4 long

the only thing i can think of rattling noise is the floats. is it only doing this while running?

If you babe a problem with the float it might flood the engine causing it to stall

Is something loose causing a vacuum leak has well? I don't know what would rattle on a carburetor except something attached to the carburetor.

Am going put a new carb on it and hope for best

Why not rebuild the one that is there? A carb rebuild kit is much cheaper than a new carb. And it can be done with hand tools and a can of compressed air.
