GM had 2 sizes, 16 and 20 gallon.  Usually dual tank 1/2 ton trucks had 2-16 gallon tanks

only ways to tell if you A. measure the tanks 16 gal would be about 42" 20 gal would be about 50" long. or B. empty her at home add 5 gal then drive to the gas station and fill her up. most long beds did come with 20 but there were a few that had 16 and i think all short beds came with 16s. idk but did they make a dual tank short bed?

The tanks are the same on either side of the trucks. And shortbeds cant fit the 20 gallon tanks.

Longbeds could have either 20 or 16 on the same truck but one is always a 20.  Short beds can ONLY have 16.
