Title: Broken Hood Release?
Post by: spacetransient on September 18, 2011, 12:10:45 pm
I figure this is going to be a nightmare but...
What do you do when the hood won't open? The grill of course is screwed from the top and bottom (under the hood). The cable may have broken. There seems to be no "play" in the hood- does not move up or down.
Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Success!!
Simple problem complicated by fears of worst case scenario. Hood was just jambed. Took a flat pry bar and without a lot of pressure it popped right open. I screwed down the adjustment stops to give it a little more play and oiled the release and works as it should.
But that problem did get my heart pounding....BAD GIRL!!! :-[
