Title: unknown year 366 tall deck lifters.

  I have a 366 from an unknown year.. its carbed and came with an hei distributor.. maybe mid 70s to early 80s. Does anyone know if they have solid or hydraulic lifters ? Thanks

if im right the motor is a solid lifter motor as i have removed the old motor on my truck and it was a 366 talldeck and i was going to tear it apart to see what happened to cause the motor to knock. when i took it apart it had pushrods so if im right that would be a solid lifter but many people can tell but by what i looked at it is the solid lifters from searching the web

None of them have solid lifters as far as I know.

i can pull the valve cover off my 366 motor and get a pic for u guys and you would be able to tell which one its is as i have no idea of what they even look like i just looked up the hydrualic lifters and seen they didnt look anthing like the ones i had on the old motor i pulled out. my new 366 is a 87 model

Those are rocker arms not lifters.

this is why i posted them i didnt know that this wasnt the lifter im still learning alot about my truck. im only 18
