i just rebuilt my motor on my truck its a 87 short bed with the 305 in it. I didnt want to do anything to extreme so i jut bored the motor over 30 and put headers and exhaust on it.My question is how do I eliminate the emission pump and all the hoses that go with it. also what about the plug and the vacuum line that goes to the valve by the pump.

take it all off, plug all the holes. (for off road use only...)

My 1986 had an air pump as well. I just never put it back when I had everything off the motor. The stock manifolds are out and I'll be giggered if I'm going to put nozzles on new headers just to accommodate that air pump.
Ripped all the hoses and lines out that were associated with that pump and I had to get a shorter belt to run my alternator. Not a big deal at all.

sweet thanks i figured thats what i needed to do. My main concern was about the wire plugs if not having them plugged in would make it flash a code.
